If You’re Wondering Why Nothing is Working Out Like You Thought...

Yes, the world has changed a lot.
But I’d argue that the world has always been this way.
All you have to do is look at history.
The only thing that has really changed is our access to information.
So it seems to us that the world is in complete and utter chaos.
And in a lot of ways it is.
In a lot of ways it always has been.
But now the entire world feels like our problem.
We take stuff on that we shouldn’t.
We’re distracted.
It’s really easy to subscribe to doom and gloom.
But this has, in one form another, always existed.
‘Back then’, before info overload, people just lived their lives.
They didn’t think or worry so much. They went out. They did stuff.
Since being in Austin I’ve seen things through a new lens.
Why?
Because of people.
Face to face.
Moving around, connecting, and interacting with my local world and the people in it.
After only being here a month, I’ve already been to a few random events, met a bunch of new people, had some long in-person conversations and creative brainstorming sessions at coworking spaces, and just interacted with the world way more than I was before.
It’s a huge reminder for me about how the world works.
I see so many opportunities now that I couldn’t see or feel before. The energy is high and I’m excited.
If you’re wondering why nothing is working out like you thought, go meet some people in person, I bet you something shifts.
The greatest things in life happen slowly, under the radar, and unexpectedly.
So all we have to do is put the energy out there that we want in return, show face, connect with people (genuinely), keep doing it, and just wait for the universe to deliver.
She always does.
Thanks.
